All year schooling maybe in your future...

 There are people in B.C who think that year round schooling is a good idea.Year round schooling is when there is no summer break,which to me is a horrible terrible idea.There is one school in British Columbia that already does it.Spul'u'kwuk elementary does year round schooling with their older students (grades 9-12)but are still deciding if their younger students will do this too.

I think this is a bad idea because the teachers would have more sick days which would cost the government allot of money,600 hundred dollars per teacher accordingly to thetyee.ca. Also what if kids need summer school? Do they just repeat the grade/subject again or would other arrangements be necessary.There are reasons why this might be a good idea like students wouldn't forget what they leaned the last year and would be more prepared for the upcoming year.Also the school could have more little breaks like more two weeks breaks,That way it would be more even than just a two month break.I think the main reason that teachers would like this is because there would be more jobs available for teachers.

In conclusion i would keep my summer break because i'm used to it this way.I like have a long break it makes me feel more relaxed and i can go somewhere for longer example Hawaii.I don't think this will happen in all school districts but at least a few will.
