Are sport drinks good
or bad for you?
Hi, I am rajan and
I am going to talk to you about are sports drinks good or bad for you. Now it's
so hard to walk down the drink isle and not see a type of sport drink there are
so many different flavors lemon, grape, lime, and blue berry and they are just
loaded with sugar and kids drink them all the time during sports and its bad
for them and they want it for the sugar and the taste and that's it. After
drinking these sports drinks these kids crash and they can't perform well at
all because they have hit the wall and that is just 1 of the cons bout sports
drinks.
Gatorade and PowerAde are the 2 most popular sports drinks
out there and like in their name its suppose to help you like give you ion 4
witch for people who don't know it's a vitamin you lose after you work out and
its suppose to help you replenish them witch it does but that all it does. but with all the sugar and sodium it really doesn't
help you it actually hurts you in a way of it doesn't let you perform at you
highest level.
your probably wondering why do kids still drink this stuff it's
because first it taste good and better than water. Second is these companies
spend hundreds of millions of dollars to get pro athletes to advertise their
product and have them drink it and it also says if you want to be like us that
we have to drink this stuff. Which isn't true a lot of major athletes drink
water.
So are sports drinks
good or bad for children NO! They are unhealthy and lead to child hood obesity
and that is why kids of all ages shouldn't drink sports drinks. So remember you
can be a pro without sports drinks
